for designers

Joanne Neal-Berndt recognizes the challenges that residential and commercial designers have: to find art that is universally appealing, that can fit in sometimes unusual – and, in this day and age, large – spaces, and that won’t go out of style.

As a lifelong interior designer, Neal-Berndt creates her paintings in part with those challenges in mind.

Her acrylic-on-canvas wall art comes in various sizes – usually 5’ x 6’, 4’ x 6’, 4’ x 5’, 3’ x 4’, along with small squares (12” x 12” and 20” x 20”) that can be arranged in multiples.

This allows for great flexibility and a way to fill the huge spaces found in today’s homes and commercial environments. For example, a 12’ x 12’ wall could be covered with 12” x 12” pieces or, for a high-ceilinged wall of a home, two 4’ x 5’ pieces can be stacked one above the other.

Also, designers often remark about how Neal-Berndt’s paintings fit in many decors – traditional, ethnic, Western, modern, and commercial – in the same way that natural stones and metals can. And they tell her, given that the paintings are an interpretation of nature, they can feel confident that their clients will like them.

Neal-Berndt welcomes commissions; please contact her office for more information.

“Joanne’s art is a composition of soft, interesting tones and texture which are achieved through a unique etching process. Her art works well in many different environments – residential, corporate, hospitality or medical.”
